Created to celebrate the Chinese New Year in the Year of the Snake, Salomon’s Tao of the Mountains campaign reflects the power of nature and the process of accumulating wisdom from insight. This campaign represents the balance of nature and modernity, tradition and innovation, all while conveying the profound philosophy of drawing wisdom and power from the mountains.
First, the Panhui collection is a renewal of three Salomon heritage shoes, the XTWhisper, X-Alp and XT-Quest, designed with warm tones to symbolize the sunrise and create a visual impact that conveys an awakening from dormancy. Details such as mesh patterning, elegant colors and red accents capture the feelings of tension and energy while merging with the textures and patterns of a snake to exude a powerful sense of movement among the rugged, perilous landscape of the mountains.
An homage to the wisdom of Chinese culture and the power of nature, this campaign and its renewed models bring together feelings of freedom, hope and perspective intertwined with provocative and symbolic design that consumers can take meaning from and rely on for inspiration throughout this, the Year of the Snake.
