Born in Abbotsford from two girls who simply wanted to share their passion for people. Coupled with a long history in the hospitality scene, Au79 hopes to reimagine the café scene, blending elegance and indulgence with the casual and family like service that is at the foundation of all good cafes in Melbourne.

Designed by Melbourne award winning design team Mim Design. The ethos is to bring natural and raw elements of human culture and simply elevate them and showcase them in a way that is beautiful and enjoyable.

Au79 allows customers to sample all those signature cafe dishes that we know and love. Added to this was pastries, baked goods and cake options as well as roasting all the coffee in Abbotsford by our passionate team. Completing the initial dream to showcase and celebrate Australian lifestyle, products, producers in every way possible under one roof.

Our continued mission is to highlight Melbourne culture in all its content, textures and ambitions to visitors from around the world and residents alike.
