Darryl Cowie is the founder of DCG Design, which designs public works of art, memorials, lighting, and specialised architectural features, and has facilitated the design and construction of a number of projects across the globe.
In particular, Cowie has worked with international artists, James Turrell, Jonathon Jones and Alfredo Jaar, on various large-scale projects.
Notable commissions and projects include his collaboration with James Turrell for the 'Within Without' land art installation at the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra (2010); assistance with the design, construction and instalment of Turrell’s retrospective exhibition at Long Museum in Shanghai (2017); and, the fabrication of James Turrell’s 'meditation space' entitled 'Unseen Seen' for MONA (2017).
